About
the Artist

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michael Patrick Cohen incorporates over a decade of experience as a union terrazzo and construction worker into his art. While he didn’t originally set out to become an artist, his deep knowledge of materials like terrazzo, brick, and metal allowed him to forge a unique path. Today, he’s known for creating impactful pieces that celebrate iconic imagery and cultural icons.

What sets Mike apart is his hands-on approach. Every piece of metal is bent by hand, and each material is carefully selected, mixed, and hand-poured to achieve a balance of texture and form. His attention to detail and craftsmanship have earned him recognition at venues such as LA Art Week and galleries across the country.

Influenced by renowned artists such as NORM, Retna, Mister Cartoon, Estevan Oriol, and Risk, Mike combines a dynamic range of styles and cultural narratives to create visually striking works of art. His pieces are not just art—they’re a testament to the rich intersection of craftsmanship, culture, and storytelling.
